This week’s lecture was looking at pragmatic
ways of turning architectural fiction into an actual possible physical
architectural design. This lecture was very useful as so far my initial
thoughts of my outcome for project two are very much fictional, and that there
is indeed a process to justify an future idea into become reality. I am
thinking about having a building that works on systems, somehow having a
transformative procedural structure. At the moment this is all ideas to how a
structure could better create the sense of place to create human emotional and
social connection. This reminds of week five’s reading, and how it mentions
structure should be built to be explored and navigated, it should create a
sense of place, a stir of emotions, create human and social connection. The
idea of creating a building hat organically changes form over time as it adapts
and evolves with time is something that is going to be needed to be further
investigated. Yet I am excited as to how this idea will create curiosity and
the need for exploration with people and the physical environment.
