Erasing Architecture into the System disputes the context that is
architecture and describes through the 1960s and 1970s it developed from solely
being about function or as it was put ‘contain for living’ to a functioning
form that responds to uncertain conditions. This is somewhat relevant to our
future scenario. Our future vision is not a conclusive vision, but rather a
scenario full of stages in the lifecycle of infrastructure where is responds to
context and evolves as significant changes occur or when newer technology becomes
available. This got me thinking as to how our structure could better create a
sense of place to create human emotion and social connection. Isozaki mentions
that a structure should be built to be explored and navigated, it should create
a sense of place, a stir of emotions, create human and social connection. This
gives me an idea of a building that organically forms and evolves with time as
to always create curiosity and exploration with people and the physical
environment.
