Novokossino Retail Center - Wanke Hayden Conell Architects
Novokossino Retail Center that located in Moscow, Russia. The building was designed by wanke Hayden Connell Architects. The new 96,000 sq meter center is a family oriented destination featuring stores, restaurant and entertainment facilities. The scheme is arranged to maximize income-generating areas within a dynamic and vibrant interior space and has generous circulation to ensure a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience. There are multiple points of vertical circulation and connectivity between floors which stimulate people movement and contribute to the commercial success of the retail units.
Headquarter for SE/GPP Architects - Niels HaugÄrd, Tina Lind and Erik Nord Nielsen
This is a very unique and interesting project. Although the shape of the building is very eye catching, I am more intrigued by circulation through this building by the platformed atrium. Visitors and employees are met and greeted by a large
reception and showroom area, from where you via the atrium can get an overview
of the entire building. An amazing sculpture of stairs and bridges in the
atrium leads visitors and employees through the building. The first three
floors are a mixture of departments with a combination of single and multiple
workspaces in an open office environment together with modern meeting and
relaxing areas. At the top floor you will find a panoramic cantina, lounge and
meeting area. For more information http://www.archdaily.com/146021/headquarter-for-se-gpp-architects/
UCN Imago - GPP Architects
UCN IMAGO is an educational center, consisting of 4 buildings arranged
around a common space. All 4 buildings are oriented towards this
central space, each having a finger within the central space – or a wing
of the ‘butterfly’. This Central Space is the building’s nucleus and
professional meeting point, where there is a pulse and synergy between
the various professional educations, helping create an environment which
radiates life, interdisciplinary and exchange of knowledge. For more information about this award winning design http://www.archdaily.com/100395/ucn-imago-gpp-architects/
Krydset Design – BIG Architects
BIG architects have always been one of my favourite firms.
They have always unique and inspiring ways of incorporating design with
function. This design was merely a competition entry that placed second, yet I
am very intrigued by layered structure. Each level is connected to ground by a
terraced staircase. These terraced staircases not only provide circulation
through the building but also provide an outdoor sitting spot for the public.
This idea could be used in my design as a theatre staircase. Rather than having
set theatre spaces in the building, circulation staircases the connect important
spaces of the building can also house theatrical performances and provide
seating.for more information http://milimet.com/2011/02/kube-krydset-design-by-big.html
