It was
interesting when Yasu mentioned how to perceive certain places for future use.
He provided examples to consider, such as retail spaces and libraries, and
questioned the relevance or need to change these places for a future scenario.
He also questioned whether or not there would be a need for these spaces and if
you would therefore even consider proposing these spaces in 2025.
What I took
from these statements is that for these spaces, in order for them to be future
sustainable and still remain a desired space, the minimum requirements need to
addressed and understood one at a time to create a space that works. I need to
address what areas within these places work and why, as well as what can be
kept at a minimum and therefore provide a mime solution for in turn a maximum
outcome. I gather this is what the lecture statement of ‘minimum solution’ would
be, and therefore outcome in a ‘sustainable solution’.
