Spatial Planning

Here are a bunch of planning sketches from this week. This is the process I take when figuring out floor plans. I try to priotities what spaces are in my design, then assign them an area in the plan. Then from this I work out form and how walls and floorspace separates and connects these spaces. 

 

I was aiming at having a large main theatre as a somewhat catalytic convention to the rest of the building's program. Permeable retail space would be included. These spaces offer the oportunity for local traders aswell as new traders (wanting to become part of the paddington community) a space to promote and sell goods with ease.
